Job Description:


Manages the delivery of customer/Managed Service project engagements on behalf of Virtustream Managed Services


Equipment lifecycle planning and management of existing equipment together with the deployment of Virtustream solutions into client Data Centers for multiple technology towers ( Storage and CIaaS).This translates to the delivery of moderate complex, moderate risk projects related to equipment deployment and lifecycle management spaces.

Responsible for the delivery and daily management of activities, which are coordinated with Virtustream employees or Partner resources (VCE, DellEMC). Accountable for delivering projects on time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the customer and sales. Holds responsibility for achieving the Virtustream Bar of Excellence as the highest level of Customer Satisfaction.

Point of contact during the project for all aspects of the engagement. Ensures a strong and seamless relationship by maintaining communications about the project to the stakeholders: customers, management, sales and delivery personnel. Holds internal and customer kick-off meeting as appropriate.

Other key Responsibilities include:

  • ITIL life cycle management.

  • ITIL service request management and Change management

  • Responsible for regular status reporting

  • Responsible for monthly governance reporting which includes Service level management for multiple technology towers.

  • Responsible for Capacity reporting and work with Architects and Team leaders to ensure Capacity is available for customer consumption.

  • Mentoring associate PMs in the team.

  • Lead PM for any cross functional activities

  • Assists PMO Lead with Account Governance and driving process improvement for the PMO

Skills Required:

  • Must have excellent Communication skills.

  • Have strong Project Management skills and 3+ years’ experience in EPM2, PMI or Prince II methodologies

  • Experience working as a Project Coordinator/Manager in a Managed Service environment would be highly regarded.

  • Consultative skills.

  • Organizational skills.

  • Ability to influence others to achieve results. Negotiation is a big part of your role.

  • Strong knowledge of EMC products highly desirable.

  • ITILv3 Foundation Certification Required. ITIL intermediate certification desirable.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

  • Leadership attributes highly desirable.
