EMC Business Development Manager in New York City, New York
The Business Development Manager provides value to the field practices in the area of Managed Services (MS), strategy offerings and delivery capability. May work with sales and delivery teams to coordinate and conduct the delivery of MS solutions offerings. Participates in the value proposition development process for prospective clients to include requests for information, proposal and presentation development, as well as developing and maintaining sales content for use in business development activities. Supports the development of value propositions to include; creating content and graphical concepts and ensuring that all projects meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality. Work on problems and possess great communication skills that are complemented by presence and judgment. Upholds Global Practice standards, policies and procedures.
Support Virtustream/EMC Core sales with Managed Services and drive Managed Services pursuits from qualification to close
Ensure compliance to deal pursuit process
Develop and maintain MS (managed services) sales content and collateral
Market MS internally to ensure awareness in EMC/Virtustream Core and alignment to Sales
Establish growth plan
Ensuring accuracy and compliance
Lead negotiations of contract terms
Partner with Client Executive (CE) and Delivery Manager (DM)
Ensure Virtustream value proposition meets the customer needs.
Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of the new business financial model (revenue, expense, margin and rate structures)
Participate in the Strategic Account Growth Planning sessions for MS
Collaborate with CE and DM to bring value added solutions to our client
Responsible for the overall MS design, delivery models, SLA agreements, and cost structure
Collaborate with EMC stakeholders to validate proposed solutions
Strong executive communication
Networking/strong relationship-building skills
Cloud/Storage/IT managed services industry
Bid process management or program/project delivery

Critical Hiring Criteria:
5+ years successfully selling IT services or Outsourcing
Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus
Ability to work self-sufficiently in a remotely managed setting
Proficiency in MS Office tools and Salesforce
