DSSD is a Menlo Park, California-based developer of an innovative new rack-scale flash storage tier that is now part of Dell EMC’s Emerging Technology Products Division. DSSD’s architecture complements Dell EMC’s industry-leading flash storage portfolio and is designed to deliver game-changing performance for I/O-intensive in-memory database and Big Data applications such as SAP HANA and Hadoop. DSSD will operate as a standalone unit in Dell EMC’s Emerging Technology Products Division.

We are looking for talented senior hardware engineers with a background in test and validation to help develop the world’s fastest storage devices. Collaborate with software, operations and quality teams. Self-motivated team player, with a detail oriented and result focused work ethic.


• Test and validation

• Bring up and debug

• Locating and specification of components

• Strong background in power design, component selection, margining, layout and simulation

• Power Validation (jitter, phase noise, etc.)

• Hot swap power design

• Power: linear and switched regulators, thermal design

• Linear tech and IR product line experience

• System validations, networking testing experience


• Logic circuits, discrete and programmable

• Memory: DDR, NAND

• Signal integrity

• Basic analog circuitry

• X86 and ARM architectures

• Modular design

• Super Cap subsystems development

• Schematic capture (Concept preferred)

• Layout tool (plus Allegro preferred)

• Spice simulators

• Field solvers

• Python & Bash scripting

• Bugzilla, GIT and Linux


• 5+ years hardware experience – board and system level validation

• Technical Degree – EE preferred
