EMC Sr Engineering Scrum Master in Durham, North Carolina
As a part of Converged Platfrom and Solution Division (CPSD) team you will be responsible for working collaboratively with a variety of people across Engineering, QA, Technical publication and Program Management to enable the development of Dell EMC leading edge platform product lines.
As an Engineering Scrum Master within our organization you will be the servant leader for multiple scrum teams developing new platforms, and performing sustaining development on existing platforms. You’ll work closely with Engineers, and scrum members from Product Management, QA, Technical Publications, Program Management, Global Services, and Manufacturing to develop new products or update the current products to address new functional requirements. You are the glue for your Scrum team and you’ll be responsible for encouraging adherence to the rules of Scrum, and removing impediments from the team while promoting self-management. Most importantly, you will be responsible for maintaining a positive, empowering work environment with the team.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
First level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I) or equivalent experience in an environment embracing Agile methodologies
5 years of experience in Project Management roles including Agile methodologies
Knowledge of well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: Burndown techniques, Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.)
Preferred Skills & Knowledge:
Experience as a Scrum Master in a platform product engineering organization is preferred.
Second level Scrum Master certification (CSP, PSM II)
Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc
Know how to use and edit confluence ( Wiki) and CA Technology-Rally tool
Embrace the basic fundamentals of iterative development
Understand basic fundamentals of platform development processes and procedures, including Product Development Life Cycle process
Understand the value of commitments to delivery made by an engineering team
Understand incremental delivery and the value of metrics
Fluent in user story creation, backlog tracking, burndown metrics, facilitating retrospectives, handling defects, velocity, and task definition
Functional knowledge of Dell Technologies critical partner technologies including VMware vSphere, Cisco networking, Cisco UCS computing and EMC storage and BRS offerings is desirable.

Bachelors (CS/EE/Technology) or equivalent workplace experience
Strong written and oral communication skills

Ability to work independently with light supervision
Able to prioritize tasks and work collaboratively with various stakeholders
Passionate about Agile and willing to help in growing agility and taking it to the next level

Implementation Guides (LBG, PBG, etc.)
Bill of Materials (BoM)
Configuration tool user stories
MVT / Pegasus tool rule updates
