EMC Principal Software Engineer(s) in Durham, North Carolina
Worksite: Durham, NC and various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
Job Duties: Provides technical expertise in developing solutions to complex software engineering problems. Develop software solutions for external clients based on detailed specifications from EMC technology/systems consultants. Responsible for the design, development, testing, documentation and analysis of modules or features of new or upgraded software systems and products. Develops and executes implementation according to project plans and priorities. Develop a range of products that may include device drivers, patches, operating system modifications. Plan, design, develop and test software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products. Propose design changes to processes and products. Write functional detailed design specifications and respond to requirement documents and system level test plans. May be assigned to various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Comp. Sci., Engin.(any), Business, Math, Physics, or related technical field. 60 months experience in job offered or computer-related occupation. Experience must include 60 months of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience. Experience must include: 1) Relational Database management systems (Postgresql, MSSQL, Oracle servers); 2) Debugging tools (valgrind, OProf, YourKit); 3) Jboss and Tomcat application servers; 4) httpd web server; 5) EMC Smarts IP/SIA/ESM; 6) SOAP/RESTful frameworks; 7) J2EE technologies (JavaMail, EJB, JMS, JAXB, Spring framework); 8) Network Management protocols (ICMP, SNMP); and 9) Routing protocols (EIGRP, BGP, IS-IS, OSPF). Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.
