Job Description:

Title: Principal Program Manager (Technical)

Project Leadership of Enterprise Hybrid Cloud (EHC) and Native Hybrid Cloud (NHC) activities around solution release and field enablement.

Responsible for managing field implementations of EHC and NHC engagements inclusive of design and implementation services. Project manages the full life-cycle of the project from requirements gathering, architectural design across solution and delivery groups and the customer, to the completion of services and turnover to Customer Support. Responsible for the development of a project/program implementation plan that articulates the role of Dell-EMC in designed solution.

Ensures implementation of project/program activities is coordinated with Dell-EMC partner resources, if necessary. Acts as primary interface to the customer, vendor and all Dell-EMC personnel associated with the engagement. Must be able to lead a team, and be able to work independently and/or with general direction of CPSD leadership.


Responsible for the delivery of multiple or highly complex project plans. Accountable for delivering projects on time and within agreed timeline. Prepares detailed project plans, strategies and project management plan for the implementation of an engagement within the standards of project management methodologies. Work with the lead architect and pre-sales teams to provide input to the project scope that needs to be captured in the services statement of work, by working closely with the customer and Sales to identify specific customer requirements. Requirements are categorized into a project plan detailing schedules, controls, resources, costs and daily tasks. Responsible for creating goals and milestones within a project to ensure Dell-EMC''s commitments to the customer are achieved. Prepares, maintains and submits clear & concise activity/progress reports and time recording/management reports in accordance with published procedures. Communicates to all concerned parties project milestones, status updates, as well as any existing or potential customer escalation issues. Proactively follows escalation and change control processes. Has overall ownership of all management reports on a given engagement. Stays abreast of the EHC and NHC solutions and Cloud Computing trends and new technology Provides a single point of contact during the project for all aspects of the engagement. Build a strong and seamless relationship by maintaining communications about the project to the Fast Track stakeholders: sales, customers and delivery personnel. Be involved with the creation of solution proposals that address current and evolving client requirements. Accountable for managing to established standards, processes, and methods to produce solutions that conform to requirements. Strives for, maintains and further develops excellence in processes and services. Aims and achieves the highest standard of quality possible in services. Contributes to, and has shared responsibility within the project for achieving the Dell-EMC Bar of Excellence as the highest level of Customer Satisfaction.


Experience with VCE, VMware, and EMC technologies packaged solutions with Project management experience desired. in conjunction with financial and analytical experience; strong communication and Leadership Skills within a cross-functional environment.
