EMC Marketing Operations Specialist in Bedford, Massachusetts

Job Description:

As the Marketing Operations Specialist, Business Process & Data, you will lead a wide range of high-detail projects that will enable measurement of the demand waterfall, and enable functional & best practice lead flow & measurement. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, fast-learning, and organized, with prior marketing experience supporting both outside and inside sales. You will identify our mission critical data, and ensure functional capture & governance, as well as process improvement to simplify collection & usage. You’ll collaborate with internal stakeholder to standardize and globalize internal marketing processes to ensure uniform implementation and reporting across WW organization.


  • Collaborate with Marketing & Sales stakeholders to define, document, and implement the RSA demand generation operational strategy and methodologies, such as demand waterfall definition and lead scoring

  • Analyze the lead flow end to end and identify gaps, create a remediation plan and work cross-functionally to execute the plan

  • Identify data best practices and create a strategy and plan for data improvements across marketing operations and Marketo

  • Ensure data policies and standards defined within marketing are aligned & consistent across lines of business, and systems

  • Conduct lead quality analysis including lead & meeting quality measurement, lead accept/reject rates; conversion rates and meeting accept/reject rates

  • Assist with SLA definition, measurement and enforcement across teams, including Marketing to Telemarketing; Telemarketing to Marketing; Telemarketing to Sales and Sales to Telemarketing

  • Act as the subject matter expert on Inside Sales and lead flow management, collaborating with training counterparts and drive ongoing awareness and evangelism.

  • Define, manage business processes supported by key marketing systems (Marketo, SFDC, Adobe, etc.) used to generate, distribute, and report on leads.

  • Establish and maintain scalable processes that ensure best practices in campaign and lead management, and lead routing.

  • Optimize the lead-to-customer conversion path and increase funnel marketing efficiencies.

  • Create and maintain metrics reports on marketing and sales activities and effectiveness and business impact.

  • Analyze marketing and sales data to develop insights and make recommendations on areas for optimization.

  • Evaluate new technologies and add-on applications to improve and optimize lead flow & funnel performance.


  • BA/BS or equivalent working experience.

  • Minimum 5+ years of marketing experience.

  • Minimum 2+ years' experience in Marketing Automation, Lead Generation, Reporting and Analysis, and related roles within a technology company.

  • Experience building reporting & dashboards in SFDC

  • Experience with Marketing Automation Platforms such as; Eloqua, Marketo

  • Strong analytical skills and experience with reporting and data analysis.

  • Technically capable, excellent communicator and a desire to improve processes.

  • Proven success driving program excellence across large teams

  • Ability to effectively document and communicate processes

  • Ability to effectively identify and address dependencies across work streams

  • Strong initiative, and proactive problem solving capabilities
